Discipleship
October 15, 2007
Sorry for the late post. Jim and my recent trip to Atlanta has thrown off the rhythm of my weekly routine. Below is the powerpoint from the class on discipleship. Thank you all for your contributions and feedback in class. Your prayers around the issues we discussed are needed and appreciated.

Sorry to have missed the class (you didn’t notice):>
And, admittedly have not viewed the powerpoint but would venture to add, one of the grave failures of churches/Christians today is the lack of ‘discipling’.
In the Jesus’ Matthew Commission, 28:19a “Go and make disciples of all the nations…,” He was notably not only interested in ‘winning them’ but equally in ‘keeping them’. Thus the compelling need to make them ‘followers’ not just ‘converts’. An overriding reason being, the ‘convert’ all too often does not continue to ‘follow’ without discipleship.
